About Kawaseman Orimono, a long-established Kyoto textile house.Founded in the late Edo period by the second-generation owner Yonejirō Kawase, the company has pursued the essence of beauty in textiles for over 160 years.
「京の老舗」河瀬満織物について。河瀬満織物の歴史は二代目河瀬米次郎が起業して始まりました。ときは江戸時代末期。ペリーが来航し、幕末の志士 坂本龍馬や勝海舟が活躍した若き時代。それから160余年、今も美の真髄を追い求めています。
For over 150 years, we have continued to preserve the tradition of Nishijin weaving here in Kyoto.

Nishijin-ori is a general term for dyed textiles produced in Nishijin, Kyoto, which is known for producing a wide variety of textiles in small quantities. On February 26, 1976, it was designated a traditional craft of Japan.
西陣織とは、「多品種少量生産が特徴の京都の西陣で生産される先染（さきぞめ）の紋織物」の総称。昭和51年（1976年）2月26日、国の伝統的工芸品に指定されました。
Kawase Mitsuru Textiles developed and operated Kuwanoki Hiroba (park). For its contribution to creating a beautiful city, the company was awarded the Kyoto City Citizen's Charter by the city of Kyoto.
河瀬満織物は、桑の木ひろば（公園）を整備し運用いたしました。美しいまちづくりに貢献し、京都市から京都市民憲章を受賞いたしました。

This is hikihaku, a traditional technique in which diamonds are ground into powder, applied to washi paper, and cut into ultra-fine 0.3 mm strips to be woven into the weft.This patented method, developed by Kawaseman Orimono, uses gemstones such as diamonds, emeralds, and lapis lazuli to give Nishijin textiles exceptional brilliance.
ダイヤモンドを粉末状にして和紙に貼り、0.3mmに極細く刻んで緯糸に織り込む伝統工芸士による引箔。特許取得の河瀬満織物独自が持ち特許を取得しております。ダイヤモンド、エメラルド、ラピスラズリなどの宝石の輝きが西陣織物を彩ります。
