Kawaseman Mitsuru Textile has been crafting textiles in Nishijin, Kyoto, for over 170 years.
Drawing on traditional Nishijin-ori techniques, we create silk jacquards with intricate patterns, natural luster and distinctive three-dimensional textures for fashion, interiors and beyond.

At Milano Unica, the international textile trade fair held in Milan, the Nishijin-ori Collection at Milano Unica was presented to showcase the new possibilities of Japan's Nishijin textile tradition to an international audience.
Several Nishijin-ori manufacturers participated in the collection, including Kawase Man Orimono, Morisan, Taiyo Necktie, and Tomiya, each bringing their own techniques and forms of expression.
Through this collection, Nishijin textiles are proposed for a wide range of applications, from fashion and interior design to lifestyle, bringing Kyoto's textile tradition to the international market.
